Rendezvous was given on Friday July 8, 2022, at La Salle des Etoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo, for the new edition of the Bal de la Rose. A social event for charity – in favor of the Princess Grace Foundation, which works for youth – which had been turned upside down in the past two years by the Covid pandemic. So, this year, it was with pomp that this moment was celebrated in the presence of Princess Caroline of Hanover.
The princess, now 65 years old, radiant and who continues to elegantly assume her new gray hair, took the pose all smiles in very good company. She was able to count on the participation of her brother, Prince Albert of Monaco, in a white tuxedo and bow tie. The sovereign, who came without his wife Princess Charlene to the disappointment of the guests, was not the only representative of the Grimaldi clan. Indeed, there was for example Charlotte Casiraghi, chic in Chanel. Caroline’s daughter had made the trip with her husband, Dimitri Rassam.
But on the photo call of the Bal de la Rose, whose theme was the 1920s under the leadership of designer Christian Louboutin who was in charge of the artistic direction, it was also necessary to count on Pierre Casiraghi and his wife Beatrice Borromeo, Andrea Casiraghi and his wife Tatiana Santo Domingo or even the Princess Alexandra of Hanover on the arm of her companion Ben Sylvester Strautmann… A clan which therefore surrounded Princess Caroline, who took over in 1982 – after the death of her mother – the presidency of the Princess Grace Foundation, launched in 1964. “The Foundation provides direct aid each year not only to humanitarian actions for the benefit of children but also to cultural projects for students.“, reveals the website of the organization.
The 2022 edition of the Bal de la Rose was grandiose according to information from Monaco Morning : 800 guests and a menu including, for example, blue lobster, imperial caviar, turbot or even morels, all washed down with cocktails, wine and champagne. In addition to the meal, a show was given thanks to performances by the House of Drama collective, Dita Von Teese, dancer Amélie Poulain, artist Mawara and singer Corine. As for the animator Stéphane Bern, he animated a big tombola. The evening was also marked by a fireworks display.
