In the afternoon of Thursday June 30, violent storms fell on the east of France, and in particular in Belfort, where bad weather caused seven minor injuries on the site of the festival of Eurockeans. The first evening of the festival has been canceled for security reasons.

Under a threatening sky, the festival of Eurockeans in Belfort (Territory of Belfort) had barely opened its doors when driving rain spoiled the party on the afternoon of Thursday 30 June. In a few minutes, the refreshments were transformed into refuges for hundreds of festival-goers. The festival campsite was swept away by a violent storm. One of the challenges for the organizers: protect the site’s fragile installations, and try to keep smiling.

After half an hour of deluge, the damage is significant. Tents were blown by the wind, or crushed by uprooted trees. Seven people were slightly injured. Immediately, the organization armed itself with chainsaws to clear the tracks, and evacuated a public inevitably disappointed, because the first evening of the festival was canceled for security reasons. For now, the next three days are maintained.
