Italy again hit by a wave of bad weather. Sunday, June 4 in the region of Asti (Piedmont), new torrential rains made the rivers overflow and caused landslides. The inhabitants are now mobilized to clean the mud spread in the streets but also in the cellars. Since the deadly floods two weeks ago, schools have been reopened in the Emilia-Romagna region, but the orange alert is maintained.
Prince Harry on trial against a tabloid
In Germany, a forest fire on a former military training ground threatens to spread. A forest strewn with old ammunition, 70 km south of Berlin. The firefighters have been at work since Wednesday, May 31, to try to control its progression. The fire now threatens the surrounding villages. It is the biggest forest fire since the beginning of the year in Germany.
Prince Harry absent from the High Court in London on the first day of his trial against a British newspaper. The Duke of Sussex accuses the publisher of the Daily Mirror of having resorted to illicit means to gather information. “What Prince Harry wants is his day in court in the Court”, says Jonathan Coad, the media lawyer. Prince Harry will be present on June 6 to testify. A first in more than a century for a member of the royal family at the helm of a court.
