A team from France Télévisions was invited behind the scenes of the concerts of Calogero, who happily found the stage. The singer performs Friday, June 10 in Paris in an intimate room, before leaving on tour.
Thursday, June 9, at L’Européen, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Calogero’s concert is only due to start in four hours, but the die-hard fans have already arrived. The musicians are in the middle of a working session: they dissect the pieces, refine the arrangements. Calogero leaves nothing to chance. The tour started the day before. If the concert went well, the artist is still full of many doubts.
The scrapbook, Downtown, was released in December 2020. Since then, the songs have caught on. Twice, the singer preferred to delay his tour during the Covid-19 pandemic. “It’s great, because everyone is unmasked, and we resume a normal life again”, rejoices Calogero. He says he begins each tour with a concert at L’Européen, “a real meeting with the fans”. The singer seeks intimacy in his team, and thus surrounds himself with musicians he knows well, to “work in comfort”.
