A draw, a defeat: the accounts are not good for the FCSM. And not just from an accounting point of view. In the last match against Grenoble (1-0 for GF38), the Sochaliens were disappointed. Olivier Guégan had not minced his words during the final whistle and a week later, just before the reception of Amiens on behalf of the 3rd day of Ligue 2, the coach expects a reaction of pride from his players : “We have to be revengeful after our last performance. We need to put a lot more intensity into our game, more heart, more passion!“
Bring down the critics
The coach also insisted on the freshness of his players. “Some still have trouble cashing in on the preparation” he explained, taking the case of Tony Mauricio. The striker is in difficulty at the start of the season, like all of his friends in the offensive field (0 goals scored). The main interested party is aware of this and wants to reverse the trend against Amiens.
“I’m confident, I know it’s going to get better. We know what we did wrong in our first two matches. Against Amiens, we clearly want the three points”, Tony Mauricio
Facing Amiens, the starting eleven will be very different from the one lined up against Paris FC and Grenoble. Several players are back in the squad, such as Aaneba, Ndour and Kanouté. Others come out: this is the case of Rassoul N’Diaye, Malcolm Viltard and Alan Virginius. The latter is announced in the viewfinder of Lille by our colleagues from L’Equipe. The attacker would have agreed to join the North.
