Back to life | The Montreal Journal

The specter of death visited me again, for a third year in a row. When I was affected by respiratory syncytial virus in early January, doctors feared for my life.

Despite all the criticism of our health system, once again, it brought me back to life thanks to the determination of all the healthcare workers.

It is therefore with pleasure that I return to Newspaper after these adventures. Of course, news has continued to evolve and I will do my best to catch up.

This is my way of telling you that I intend to address subjects that have crossed our platforms in recent weeks and which have not left me indifferent.

Health Quebec

You will understand that the reform led by Christian Dubé particularly interests me after having spent almost a year in the hospital over the last three years.

The minister is looking for a Top Gun. I don’t know who could take on the entire management of the entire network, while I see coordination problems between the departments of the same establishment.

For example, two months after my transplant, I was called to undergo a lung transplant. Even more funny, I was still in the hospital.

I had to have a fitness program before the operation. The kinesiologist contacted me a year after my transplant.

As for me, the Dubé reform is doomed to failure. The minister will weaken the public system by increasing three-speed medicine and plunging us into a mess.

Budget

For Pierre Poilievre, social programs are “left”!

The Girard deficit is making a lot of people jump. Some advocate a tax cut by claiming that they will be able to afford their care.

I estimate the care I have received over the past three years to be over a million dollars. Could I have accumulated it to cope with illness?
