15 million merits (Season 1, Episode 2)

©Netflix

Bing Madsen (Daniel Kaluuya) lives recluse in a futuristic world where screens are omnipresent. Like his work colleagues, he spends his entire days pedaling an exercise bike arranged in a battery in front of giant screens to accumulate virtual credits. One day, he meets Abi Carner (Jessica Brown Findlay), a talented singer. Seduced by his talents, Bing offers him an entry ticket to hotshot, a television show where a jury evaluates the skills of the talents that present themselves. But things don’t go as planned, and Abi finally agrees to participate in pornographic shows, much to the despair of Bing who left all his savings.

An episode that offers a scathing critique on entertainment shows and advertising, but also on privacy and policing in the professional and personal world.
