After 4 long years of waiting for this new edition, the biggest international maritime festival in the Mediterranean (French side) started with great fanfare, helped by rather mild weather.

An edition, moreover, as expected by the public as by the organizers as underlined Wolfgang Idiriits managing director.

The main attraction is obviously the fleet of the most beautiful sailboats moored on the quay of Algiers, in particular:

  • The Mircea: 3 mast sailboat school of the Marine Academy (83m)
  • The Oosterschelde : three masted Dutch schooner (50m)
  • The Morganster : Dutch brig (50m)
  • Grace : replica of an 18th century brig (32m)
  • El Galeon : reproduction of a 16th century Spanish Galleon (50m)
  • Nao-Victoria : reproduction of Magellan’s nave having completed the 1st circumnavigation of the globe (25m)
  • Pascual Flores : three-masted pailebot schooner (47m)
  • Nao Santa Maria : reproduction of the Carrack of Christopher Columbus (30m)
  • pandora : 18th century schooner replica (30m)

A small video presentation of some of the sailboats, which are all accessible and visitable

Without forgetting the whole armada of people, volunteers or not, to welcome and accompany the public who flocked en masse from the first day, and whom we will highlight every day on our antenna and our social networks.
