Last weekend was the Holi festival, also known as the festival of colors, inspired by a tradition from India. This was an opportunity for dozens of people to celebrate Saint-Jean in a very special way: by throwing colored powders at each other!

Several DJs and music groups performed on site during the day. Participants could also taste traditional Indian dishes, get a henna tattoo or even get souvenirs of the event.

Young and old alike were invited to the Quai de l’horloge on Saturday, in Montreal, to mark this 4e edition of the Montreal Holi festival.

And a kind reminder for those who would like to try the experience in the future: wear appropriate clothes, and if you have glasses… a cloth to clean them will be in order!
