Baby plants for babies

In March, it’s the return for a 4e edition of Baby Plant Month, an initiative by horticulturist Mélanie Grégoire.

The sale of 50,000 baby plants will be used to finance neonatal research and care. For the second year in a row, host Marie-Claude Barrette is joining the event as ambassador.

Mélanie Grégoire had the idea for this initiative after the birth of her son Laurent, very premature, in 2020.

In all, 28 varieties of baby plants are offered: fern, aloe vera, fittonia, ficus, pothos, etc.

It is possible to purchase the baby plants throughout the month of March, at a cost of $9.99, online (via Serres St-Élie), at IGA and in participating garden centers.
