A jury returned a guilty verdict last Sunday against the leader of the music group Headley. He allegedly committed these acts against a woman from the Ottawa area.

At the end of the same trial, the jury found Mr. Hoggard not guilty of similar charges against an alleged minor victim.

The 37-year-old musician had pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm and one count of sexual interference, a criminal offense related to acts committed against an elderly person. under 16 years old.

During the trial, the Crown alleged that the accused had repeatedly raped the two victims during separate events in the fall of 2016. Prosecutors also alleged that Mr. Hoggard had sexually touched the teenager at following a concert by his band in April 2016. The alleged victim was then 15 years old.

For its part, the defense completely denied the allegations of touching and maintained that the sexual relations with the plaintiffs were consensual.
