Avril Lavigne is launching a concert tour in 2024, during which she will only perform her greatest hits.
The pop singer of Complicated has narrowed down his schedule to the songs that have defined his career as part of a 27-date North American tour that begins in early summer.
The tour launches in Vancouver on May 22 at the Rogers Arena and organizers say it will include performances from Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend, Here’s to Never Growing Up and his other successes.
During the summer, she will go to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on August 17, for the International Balloon Festival.
Lavigne will also be in Ottawa on August 14, in Toronto on August 16, as well as in Winnipeg on September 14 – and for these three dates, she will perform with the Montreal group Simple Plan, who became famous around the same time.
The last show of the North American tour will be in Edmonton on September 16.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday on Ticketmaster.
The tour will span across various European countries including Austria, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom over the summer.
Lavigne is one of an array of popular artists promising fans that their tours will be filled with only their most popular songs. Madonna, Bush, the Pet Shop Boys and the Killers are among other musicians holding “greatest hits” tours this year.
