(Denver) The Colorado Avalanche added depth on offense by signing free agent Evan Rodrigues for one season.

The deal will pay $2 million for Rodrigues, who set career highs with 19 goals and 24 assists in 82 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
Rodrigues is the only Penguins skater to play in every game in 2021-22.
The 29-year-old Rodrigues played 316 NHL games with the Penguins and Buffalo Sabres, scoring 129 points (53-76).
