Isaac Brouillard Lessard admits to sending text messages to his family because he is angry with them. He maintains that his uncle is the supreme leader of the pedophiles of Victoriaville and describes his family as “rut drinkers”. Although Isaac shows the officers his medication and claims to have regular follow-up with his psychiatrist, the police will not do any verification to corroborate his statements.

During her testimony before Coroner Kamel, patrol officer Élodie Lévesque asserts that it is “common” for police officers to see katanas.
Following the intervention, officer Élodie Lévesque indicates in her report that Isaac Brouillard Lessard did not present any danger to himself or to others and that therefore, the police had no reason to apply the law P-38 and force transport to hospital.
Despite the family’s concerns, the police never contacted the hospital or the psychiatrist. However, the delegation of power in Mr. Brouillard Lessard’s file allows him to be taken to the hospital to be evaluated, since he contravenes the condition of release from the to keep the peace.
