Following the death of an eight-year-old child on Sunday June 30 in Colmar (Haut-Rhin), the autopsy carried out on the morning of Wednesday July 3 concluded that a third party was involved, reports France Bleu Alsace.
The girl had asphyxia syndrome and traumatic injuries to several parts of her body, said Colmar public prosecutor Jean Richert. It is not known precisely what caused her death. Further tests must be carried out. The child’s mother, aged 31 and who has no criminal record, is still hospitalised in a psychiatric ward. She has not yet been able to be heard, said the prosecutor.
On Sunday morning, an 8-year-old child was found dead in an apartment in Colmar. The victim had injuries to her face and chest. Firefighters were unable to revive her. The mother’s arrest was eventful, as she had to be restrained with a taser.
