Bad timing. Beaten at home by AS Monaco (0-2), Sunday April 21, Stade Brestois ceded its second place to its opponent of the day. The two goals scored by Denis Zakaria and Takumi Minamino validated a seventh consecutive match without defeat for Adi Hütter’s team, which finished nine, but which took another step towards direct qualification in the Champions League, with one point ahead of Brest and three over Lille.

Authors of an astonishing season, the Finistériens recorded a second defeat in a row, after having given in to Lyon, Sunday April 14, in a completely disjointed end to the match (4-3). Eric Roy’s players, who played one more match, will go to Rennes the next day, to try to regain their senses and their second place.
