Austrian Marina Georgieva signs for two seasons with the women’s section of PSG

During his first press conference on Wednesday, Gérard Prêcheur, the new Parisian coach, did not hide it, PSG are behind on the transfer market this season:

Indeed. In the majority of competing clubs, the workforce is stopped. We, it is still under construction, evolving. So it may be a little more difficult to recruit players at the end of July or beginning of August than in the spring or in June.

This observation, Angelo Castellazzi and Sabrina Delanoy make the same. The new sports director and his assistant are working hard to find the profiles wanted by the Parisian coach.

And after Australian goalkeeper Lydia Williams, Dutch striker Lieke Mertens and French midfielder Oriane Jean-François, it is Marina Georgieva, a 25-year-old Austrian international who has signed up for two seasons with PSG.

This right central defender will enter the squad rotation. A rough player, Marina Georgieva has played around fifty matches in the Frauen Bundesliga (German elite) with the Sand club where she has played for the past 4 years. Austrian international, she has twenty selections to her credit including four on the last euro where the Austrian selection went to the quarter-finals of the competition.
