The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into gang rape after an Australian tourist reported being raped by five individuals, Agence Radio France learned on Tuesday, July 23, from a police source and the Paris prosecutor’s office. The facts are “likely to have been committed during the night from Friday to Saturday in the capital”The investigation was entrusted to the second judicial police district.
The 25-year-old tourist took refuge shortly after 5 a.m. in a kebab restaurant in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. That’s when she said she had been raped, without giving further details about the location or circumstances. The victim alcoholic was taken care of by the firefighters and taken to Bichat hospital. She was due to return to Australia on Monday.
