(Melbourne) The American Coco Gauff, world No.4 and winner of the 2023 US Open, qualified for her first semi-final at the Australian Open by defeating the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (37e) 7-6 (8/6), 6-7 (3/7), 6-2 in more than three hours on Tuesday.
For a place in the final, Gauff will face either Aryna Sabalenka, world No.2 and holder of the trophy, or world No.11 Barbora Krejcikova, opposed in the evening in Melbourne.
