(Melbourne) After a sluggish start to their quarter-final match, Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and her New Zealand partner Erin Routliffe rallied and showed why they are the fourth seed in the women’s doubles at the 2018 International Tennis Championships. Australia.
Facing a 2-0 setback, Dabrowski and Routliffe regained their composure to beat Cristina Bucsa of Moldova and Alexandra Panova of Russia 7-5 in the first set, before winning the second 6-2 and qualify for the semi-finals.

Dabrowski, who is originally from Ottawa, and Routliffe, who lives in Montreal, will face Ukrainian Lyudmyla Kichenok and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko in the semi-finals.
Kichenok and Ostapenko beat France’s Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic 7-6 (2), 6-4 earlier Monday.
Dabrowski is scheduled to team up with American Nathaniel Lammons in the mixed doubles quarterfinals later Monday against Australians Olivia Gadecki and Marc Polmans.
