The author of the book “Les Ogres”, which denounces the race for profit of the giants of private daycare, reveals the links between the resigning Minister of Solidarity and Families and the French Federation of Daycare Companies.

In her book The Ogres, who denounces the methods of private nursery companies to generate profits to the detriment of babies’ health, journalist Victor Castanet reveals the links between the resigning Minister of Solidarity and Families and the French Federation of Nursery Companies (FFEC). Collaborators of Aurore Bergé “had the impression that they were responding not to the general interest, but to particular interests, driven by the minister’s demands”explained Victor Castanet to franceinfo on Wednesday, September 18.
“A number of colleagues were concerned about Aurore Bergé’s links with the FFEC”the journalist specifies. “They were so disgusted that they decided to leave the firm. There were several of them who did it, it’s quite rare for employees at that level to decide to leave a firm.”he adds.
In his book, Victor Castanet also recounts the existence “of a non-aggression pact” spent in the summer of 2023 between the FFEC and Aurore Bergé, while two works on the business of private nurseries will be published. “The rules of the game were simple: the members of the Federation do not question government policy and we will show kindness towards you”explains the author.
