Aurélie Saada left brutally by the father of her children: “I did not expect it”

It’s a group that caused a sensation in the early 2010s with a catchy title and which toured for many months. Pulling out the tube Beat youthe Brigittes conquered the French public and after more than ten years of collaboration and five albums, the two singers decided to separate in 2021. An end not really well lived by Aurélie Saada who had announced this rupture not without bitterness, employing even the verb “drop“. But if she suffered this separation, she decided to pursue her solo career and it is under her own name that the 44-year-old artist released her first album, Bomboloni at the end of October and she will be on tour from January 2023. If everything is going well in her professional life, it is also the case in her private life.

Mother of two daughters, Shalom and Scarlett, Aurélie Saada gave them a role on her album since they compose the backing vocals on one of the songs. “During the recording, we all started crying”she says in an interview with Paris Match. Two girls necessarily very important in the life of the artist, but if she offered them a first experience certainly very amusing, she does not seek to make future singers of them. “They will do what they want. But it’s true that they have a strong taste for writing and instruments”assures the one who is also an actress and director.

When he left me, I did not expect it. I thought I was loved as much as I loved her

If she is a happy mother, Aurélie Saada has experienced several love disappointments in her life, but one of them hurt her more than the others. “I loved the father of my children madly. When he left me, I did not expect it. I thought I was loved as much as I loved him”, she says, visibly disappointed with the end of this story. Despite her heartache, the Paris-born singer has always kept smiling and the mom seems to have some idea why: “You know, in Arabic, Saada means happiness”.
