The wait was long but Aurélie and Benjamin have succeeded! This Saturday, October 30, 2021, they finally became husband and wife. It is during a civil marriage that the couple said “yes” surrounded by all their relatives, including Pauline, Aurélie’s twin sister, of course, with whom she participated in Beijing Express in 2008, 2014 and 2020.
The parents of two children (a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy) have chosen for the occasion to say “yes” to the theme of the Day of the Dead. Indeed, their wedding being fixed the day before Halloween and never wanting to be like everyone else, Aurélie and Benjamin chose to dress up and make up as the Mexican tradition wants and by being inspired by the animated film. Coco.
To see the photos and videos relayed on Instagram, in particular by the wedding planner, this original theme delighted the eyes of the guests and the atmosphere was clearly there, despite the bad weather. Fortunately, this colorful decoration and the warm candles warmed somewhat wet hearts! Of course, a tequila bar, guitars, skeletons and skulls completed the reception hall.
This wedding took place a little late due to the coronavirus epidemic that erupted around the world in 2020 and two years after Benjamin’s fabulous marriage proposal. “We celebrated my 40th birthday. Benjamin organized a party for me on the theme of Havana, in a horse boarding house located in Faumont that was transformed for the occasion. I saw him super stressed before the big day, he didn’t sleep all night, he woke up at 3 a.m. to do stuff on his computer … (…) And he asked for my hand in front of everything the world, while he is very shy and reserved. I think he made a superhuman effort to prove to me how much he loves me for a little over ten years“, she recalled during an interview for Purepeople.com.
Aurélie has also planned a religious ceremony at the Church which should be held in a castle in Belgium very soon. Congratulations to the newlyweds !
