On Sunday evening, June 30, Solidays announced that it had just surpassed its highest attendance figure, with some 260,467 festival-goers registered between Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30. The musical event at the Longchamp racecourse, which supports international aid programs for AIDS patients, had already welcomed nearly 260,000 people during its 2023 edition.
The 26th edition of Solidays brought together dozens of artists, including Mika, Sam Smith, Pomme, PLK, Laurent Garnier and Louise Attaque. But until the end, the festival encountered difficulties selling its tickets this year, and it was still not sold out on the eve of the opening.
The new record “does not, however, hide the increasing difficulties encountered in the organisation of the festival and does not present a guarantee for the future”, the organizers stressed in a press release. Furthermore, like other festivals, Solidays expressed on Friday June 28, through the voice of its director Luc Barruet, its “worry” faced with the possibility of the National Rally (RN) coming to power during this period of early legislative elections.
