Attempted murder in Repentigny | Four suspects arrested

Three boys and a girl between the ages of 16 and 18 were arrested Tuesday morning in connection with an attempted murder by shooting which took place this summer in Repentigny, announced the Service de police de la Ville (SPVR).

A 16-year-old boy was hit by “several projectiles” at Langelier Park on July 6. “To date, the victim still has serious consequences,” the SPVR said in a statement.

“This morning, the Repentigny police officers, assisted by those of the Sûreté du Québec, are carrying out searches and arrests in connection with this event”, can we read in the announcement.

The alleged shooter, 17, was arrested with a 16-year-old girl in Montreal. A handgun and ammunition were also seized.

A 17-year-old boy and another 18-year-old were also arrested in Repentigny during searches. The police force did not specify their role in the affair.

“Those arrested will be questioned and some will appear in the juvenile court in Joliette during the day,” said the SPVR.
