LakeEuropean Commission assures us. The attack on Israel will not lead to a reduction in support for Ukraine in its war against Russia. “Nothing will in any way affect the support that the European Union has. There is no doubt about that”declared Eric Mamer, the chief spokesperson of the European Commission, during a press briefing in Brussels on Monday October 9.

“If you listen to the president’s speech [de la Comission européenne, Ursula von der Leyen] in Bordeaux on Saturday, he confirms once again: we are alongside the Ukrainian people as long as necessary in the conflict against Russia.”he also declared.

Peter Stano, the spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy of the European Union added: “Of course, Russia is trying to use everything that happens on the international scene either to fuel instability or to strengthen its campaign against Ukraine. But that does not mean that the attention of the European Union turned away from Ukraine.”
