(Washington) The Secret Service “failed” in its mission to protect Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was targeted in an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania on July 13, its director Kimberly Cheatle assured Monday during a congressional hearing.
“We failed,” the head of the service responsible for protecting high-ranking American officials, who is facing criticism over possible failings and human failings, told a House of Representatives committee.
