Thirteen people were injured, including at least five by gunshot, in an attack this morning in a New York subway station located at the intersection of 36and Street and 4and Avenue in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn.

According to the first information communicated to the American media, one of these people is in critical condition.
It is also reported that the police found several unprimed explosive devices.
A first call was made to New York police at 8:27 a.m. to report the gunshots. The 36 stationand Rue serves lines D, N and R.
Several photos, often shocking, taken by passengers in transit show the chaos reigning inside it. A video is even more explicit. We see dozens of people getting out, some visibly injured or shaken, from a subway train from which thick smoke escapes.
A subway user told the New York Post seeing a 1.67 meter man leave the scene in a hurry. This individual was wearing an orange worker’s jacket and a gas mask. “At first, I thought this man was an employee of the MTA (the local transport company: Editor’s note) and I did not pay too much attention to him, she said.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been briefed on the situation and is monitoring it closely, authorities said.
