Elisabeth Borne calls not to legislate in emotion on immigration
Three days after the knife attack which left six injured, including four very young children, in Annecy, Elisabeth Borne wanted to renew her support for the victims. The unions are asking for negotiations with the government on labour, to which the Prime Minister replies that she prefers negotiations to be conducted between employers’ organizations and trade unions directly. “If they find agreements, we will transcribe them faithfully, in full, in the law”, she said. On the reform of the RSA (active solidarity income), Elisabeth Borne assumes that she wants “rediscovering the original spirit of the RMI”making this aid conditional on a path to finding a job.
