(New York) The American mobile operator AT&T announced on Tuesday that it will delay the deployment of 5G around “certain airports”, in order to continue to work with the aviation authorities on the impact of this new ultra-fast mobile Internet technology on aviation safety.

The bosses of ten airline companies warned on Monday of the potential “chaos” that AT&T and Verizon’s deployment of 5G around airports, scheduled for Wednesday, would represent. Verizon did not immediately respond to a request from AFP.
