ATP Ranking | Stefanos Tsitsipas back in the top 10

(PARIS) Winner of the Monte-Carlo tournament on Sunday, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas made his return to the top 10 of the ATP rankings on Monday, where he is placed at 7e place just behind the unfortunate finalist Casper Ruud.

The 25-year-old Greek, who won his third Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 in four years (after 2021 and 2022), gained five ranks compared to last week and regains a place he had in mid-January .

This is also the first title of the year 2024 for Tsitsipas who dominated his opponent, the Norwegian Casper Ruud in two sets, 6-1, 6-4.

The latter also moves up the rankings (+4) to climb to 6e place.

The world hierarchy is still dominated by the Serbian Novak Djokovic, eliminated in the semi-final by Ruud in the principality, ahead of the Italian Jannik Sinner.

Third, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is still handicapped by an injury to his right arm which forced him to withdraw from the Barcelona tournament which begins on Monday, and of which he is double title holder.

He had already had to withdraw from Monte-Carlo last week.
