ATP Ranking | Jannik Sinner, crowned in Miami, new runner-up to Djokovic

Author of a remarkable start to the season, marked this weekend by a victory at the Masters 1000 in Miami, the Italian Jannik Sinner took the opportunity to seize second place in the ATP ranking published Monday ahead of the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz .

At 22, Sinner obtained the best ranking of his young career, having had a dream start to 2024, notably with a triumph at the Australian Open in January.

The Italian, who has three titles this season, with the ATP 500 in Rotterdam, left no chance on Sunday to Grigor Dimitrov (6-3, 6-1) in Florida. The Bulgarian for his part gains three places and joins the top 10in 9e position, ahead of the Pole Hubert Hurkacz.

The ranking is still dominated by the Serbian Novak Djokovic, 36, absent in Miami and who separated last week from his Croatian coach Goran Ivanisevic.

Alcaraz, for his part, falls from the first two places for the first time since August 2022.
