(Montreal) Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta moved up to 14e position in the ATP rankings, an increase of nine places, thanks to his triumph at the National Bank Open, Sunday, in Montreal.

The Polish Hubert Hurkacz, defeated in three sets by Carreno Busta in the final, for his part kept his 10e rank, just behind Quebecer Félix Auger-Aliassime.
Eliminated in his first match in the second round in Montreal, the Russian Daniil Medvedev remains at the top of the standings, ahead of the German Alexander Zverev and the Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
The Norwegian Casper Ruud, semi-finalist in Montreal, continues to progress in the standings, going from 7e at the 5e square.
Ontario’s Denis Shapovalov moved up one position to 21e rank, despite his quick elimination in Montreal. British Columbia veteran Vasek Pospisil occupies the 145e position, a gain of two places.
