ATP Finals | Jannik Sinner assured of participating in the semi-finals

(Turin) The Italian Jannik Sinner is guaranteed to participate in the semi-finals of the ATP Masters in Turin following the progress of the current match this Thursday between the Serbian Novak Djokovic and the Pole Hubert Hurkacz.

Hurkacz, who replaces the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, injured in his back, equalized against the world No.1 and defending champion one set everywhere, first set 7-6 (7/1) for Djokovic, second set 6-4 for the Pole.

Winning this round guarantees Sinner access to the last four even before his last match on Thursday evening against the Danish Horloger Rune.

Sinner will be the first Italian to participate in the semi-finals of the ATP Masters.

Even if he were to win his match against Hurkacz, Djokovic is not guaranteed to participate in the semi-finals.

A defeat for Sinner in his last group match, now without any stakes for him, would in fact eliminate the Serb.
