(Montreal) Canadian director Atom Egoyan will premiere his feature film based on an opera, Seven Veilsat the Toronto International Film Festival.
The drama reunites the Toronto filmmaker with American actress Amanda Seyfried, who starred in the film Chloefilmed in Toronto in 2009.
The film features real opera stars from the Canadian Opera Company’s latest production of Salomealso led by Egoyan.
Seven Veils should be 18e Egoyan’s film at the Toronto festival, which runs September 7-17.
