Atlanta Falcons | Zac Robinson and Jimmy Lake named offensive and defensive coordinators

(Flowery Branch) Zac Robinson and Jimmy Lake were named offensive and defensive coordinators, respectively, for the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.

Both men follow head coach Raheem Morris, who was defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams before being named to the helm of the Georgia club last week.

Morris also announced that Marquice Williams remained special teams coordinator, a role he played over the past three seasons under Arthur Smith. The latter was fired a few hours after the Falcons had signed a third 7-10 record in as many seasons.

Robinson was quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator with the Rams. Lake, who coached the University of Washington team, was the assistant head coach with the Rams.

The Falcons haven’t made the playoffs since the 2017 season. Since then, they have posted sub-.500 records every year.
