French footballer Benjamin Mendy, 2018 world champion, goes from grace to disgrace. A year after the first accusations of rape, his trial opened on August 10 in the court of Chester, in the North of England. It is here that the one who plays as a defender in Manchester City, will be tried for eight rapes, an attempted rape and a sexual assault.
“He kinda grabbed my vulva“
The assaults allegedly happened at the sportsman’s mansion, in Prestbury, Cheshire. This Tuesday, August 23, it was a third woman who came to testify against him, and who revealed that she had been the victim of his actions, on the night of January 1 to 2, 2021. That evening, she said, there were people at Benjamin Mendy’s, and “everyone was under the influence of substances” report our colleagues from Parisian.
The young woman says that around 3 a.m., while she was in the kitchen, she was approached by the footballer. “He kind of grabbed my vulva and I immediately stopped and thought ‘What just happened?’ I think I was just taken aback because I was shocked and then I realized what had just happened.”she recalls.

And to add: “I was wearing underwear but I could feel his fingers inside my sex.” In search of the toilets, she comments: “He came to open me and I entered the bathroom. We were face to face and he mimicked an act of oral sex” and stuck out his tongue as if he [la] licked”. An attitude which would have greatly surprised the guest, since, she said, she had “barely presented to him”.
“He was almost childish“
Still there at 6 a.m., the woman explains that Benjamin Mendy then came back to tell her: “You look better when you smile. Why are you angry?” She would have snubbed him and told him that she was not happy with his previous attitude. The Blue would then have apologized. “He was almost childish. It was like I was scolding him and he realized what he had done“, she says.
For his part, Benjamin Mendy still pleads not guilty.
