Untouchable Max Verstappen. As in 2022, the Red Bull driver won the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona on Sunday June 4 without encountering any difficulty. Starting from pole position, the Dutchman dominated the competition and dominated the whole race to win his third race in a row and already his fifth this season in seven Grands Prix. With 170 points, he is well ahead of the drivers’ world championship standings.
Behind him, his Red Bull teammate Sergio Pérez finished just off the podium. It was the two Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. An encouraging result for the German team, which has not won a single Grand Prix since the 2021 season. At Alpine, Esteban Ocon finished 8th, Pierre Gasly 10th. Starting 20th, Charles Leclerc finished the race just outside the points, in 11th place.
