It’s his Metaverse to her. In her eponymous hit, the singer P.R2B deconstructs genres to build another world, which looks like an ode to the queer movement.
On the Printemps de Bourges 2022 stage, Pauline Rambeau de Baralon (her name that she hides behind the acronym P.R2B) dazzled the spectators. This 31-year-old artist has just released her first album, Gamma Rays. A graceful blend of electronic music and variety melodies. An eclecticism boosted by his deep and fiery voice.
This Berrichone had sown a first nugget in 2018 with a first EP, Dreams. She had also already charmed the public at the Printemps de Bourges. P.R2B therefore returns to confirm the promises born of his first compositions. “For me, the Printemps de Bourges was a family, personal adventure, so coming back to defend this album is very emotional for me”.
How did she build her Metaverse, one of the highlights of his new album? “This song, it started from something very small. It starts by saying that three times a day I am taken for a boy and that it does not bother me”she says.
Pauline Rambeau de Baralon describes her rather unclassifiable style more generally. “What interests me in my music is to tell stories, to work on emotions. I believe that these different musical genres that I mix, they bring that. I like lyrics that can be full of emphasis and then confront them on the contrary with a rougher stuff of techno music. That’s what I find exciting”says the singer.
The Printemps de Bourges festival runs until April 24. All the programming on the festival website.
