Trial of Monique Olivier: after three weeks of hearing, outstanding questions
Trial of Monique Olivier: after three weeks of hearing, outstanding questions – (Franceinfo)
The Hauts-de-Seine Assize Court is due to render its decision on Tuesday December 19.
The trial of Monique Olivier for complicity in the murders of Marie-Angèle Domèce, Joanna Parrish and Estelle Mouzin continued on Friday after three weeks of hearings. The victims’ families are convinced by the guilt of Michel Fourniret’s ex-partner. “My daughter would never have followed a man alone but a man accompanied by a woman, probably”said Joanna Parrish’s father. “It wasn’t me who pushed him into all these horrors, he needed to be supported”declared the accused on the stand Friday morning.
“She was really a co-author with him”
“She explains to us that she was afraid of going to prison so she accompanied Fourniret so that he could kill others. I think we cannot follow that logic. She was really co-author with him, these are four-handed murders,” declared the lawyer of Estelle Mouzin’s father. During the three-hour interrogation on Friday, Monique Olivier explained that she could have saved Estelle Mouzin “I should have taken him away, I didn’t, I don’t know why.” While it was the last chance to obtain information for the victims’ families, the trial ended without further revelations. “Estelle Mouzin’s father said that Monique Olivier spoke and that he was able to learn things”nuanced Monique Olivier’s lawyer.
