Lucie Castets at Matignon: the environmental activists present at the summer university on Thursday, August 22, believe in it wholeheartedly. At noon, the candidate of the New Popular Front is cheered upon her arrival. Her message for Emmanuel Macron is direct. “Tomorrow, with the party leaders of the New Popular Front and the presidents of the parliamentary groups, we will go to the Élysée. We will remind the president of his duty to respect the choice of the French people, to appoint a Prime Minister in line with the popular will.”she chanted.
Marine Tondelier, national secretary of the environmentalists who will accompany him on Friday August 23 to the Élysée, shares his comments. “[Emmanuel Macron] is not going to do ‘stuff’ to please us. He’s going to do it because he has no choice. There is no alternative to Lucie Castets”she said. After this first step, LuCie Castets will be attending the summer universities of other left-wing parties in the coming days.
