at the border with Moldova, refugees flock

On the faces, the exhaustion of mothers, who often had to walk in the snow and the cold, but also the sadness of couples who separate because the husband has to fight on. This is what can be seen on the border between Moldova and Ukraine. Russian forces are currently advancing towards Odessa (Ukraine) and shelling several towns on their way.

In the cars waiting on the road for hours, stories of shattered lives. There is Irina, the grandmother, who mourns the house where she has always lived. At the border post, there are more and more families about to leave for safety. They are in contact until the end with their loved ones, forced to stay. Infinite sadness and terrible feeling of waste. Most of the refugees do not know how they will be accommodated, but they have one certainty: they want to return to their country one day, for their children.
