A man fired several shots, rue d’Enghien, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, Friday, December 23. The suspect killed at least two people and injured four, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. He was arrested by the police, according to the police headquarters. An open investigation. “An investigation has been opened into the counts of murder, intentional homicide and aggravated violence” and “the investigations have for the time being entrusted to the 2nd district of the judicial police (DPJ)”said the Paris prosecutor’s office.
A man arrested. Still according to the prosecution, a suspect “aged between 60 and 70 was arrested and placed in police custody”. “The author is arrested with his weapon, the danger is averted, his motives are for the moment unknown”a police source told AFP.
The shocked neighborhood. A shopkeeper interviewed by Agence France Presse said she heard “seven eight shots in the street”. “It’s total panic, we stayed locked inside”, she said. According to a local resident, “there were people in a panic shouting at the police: ‘He’s here, he’s here, come on’, pointing to a hairdressing salon”.
