At least three people were killed Wednesday in a shooting at the site of a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the southern United States, local police said, saying the suspect is also dead.
Deputy Police Department Chief Jonathan Brooks said the shooter, too, lost his life. It looks like he turned his gun on himself. The motivations behind his action were not specified. He allegedly used both a rifle and a handgun to commit his crimes, according to Mr. Brooks.

Officers arrived on scene three minutes after the dispatch center received the emergency call and contacted the shooter a minute later, the deputy chief said.

St. Francis Health System placed its campus on lockdown Wednesday afternoon due to the ongoing situation in the Natalie Medical Pavilion. This building houses an outpatient surgery clinic as well as a breast health center.
Aerial footage from a television network’s helicopter appeared to show first responders evacuating a victim on a stretcher. Dozens of police were visible outside the hospital complex. Traffic was blocked in the area as the investigation got under way.
A family reunification site allowing people to reunite with evacuated loved ones has been set up at a high school near campus.
Officers from the Bureau of Weapons, Explosives, Tobacco and Alcohol were also dispatched to the scene of the shooting, a spokesperson confirmed.
This latest fatal shooting comes just eight days after an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 children and two female teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Two weeks earlier, a gunman killed ten people, all black people, in a racist attack at a Buffalo supermarket.
