A Russian drone attack on the city of Kharkiv (eastern Ukraine) on the night of Friday April 5 to Saturday April 6 left at least six dead and ten injured, announced the mayor of the country’s second city, Igor Terekhov. , in a message on Telegram. These strikes targeted a district in the north of Kharkiv.

According to the mayor, these strikes were carried out with Iranian-made Shahed drones. They damaged at least nine residential buildings and a gas station. Among the injured are a “23 year old boy (…) the youngest victim”, “a 25 year old woman and another 71 year old”, as well as “six men aged 35 to 85”, for his part reported the governor of the region, Oleg Synegoubov, on Telegram.

This governor had reported two deaths and several injured in his first report, a little earlier in the night. The deadly attack on Kharkiv came after the Ukrainian air force reported the presence of several Russian drones across the country.

“Russian terror against Kharkiv does not stop”, condemned Volodymyr Zelensky in a message published on Telegram. The Ukrainian president once again called on kyiv’s allies to provide him with more air defense systems.
