At least six people were killed and five others injured Sunday July 10 in a Russian strike on a residential building in Chassiv Iar, in eastern Ukraine. The local governor said that about thirty people were still under the rubble.

“The rescue operation is underway. The rescuers were able to bring six dead and five injured to the surface”, said on Telegram Pavlo Kyrylenko, governor of the Donetsk region that the Russian army aims to conquer. This four-story building was hit by a Russian Hurricane missile, according to the official.

The majority Russian-speaking region of Donetsk is Moscow’s priority target in Ukraine, which has claimed to have captured the entire Lugansk region, after the Ukrainian withdrawal from the cities of Severodonetsk and Lyssychansk in recent weeks. According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, 591 civilians have been killed and 1,548 others injured so far in the Donetsk region since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.
