After several days of massive attacks from Moscow, including some targeting the capital kyiv, at least four people have been killed in Russian bombings in eastern and central Ukraine. This was announced by the Ukrainian authorities on Thursday January 4.
In the Kirovograd region (center), a Russian missile attack “on an industrial installation” killed one person and “eight injured” in Kropyvnytskiï, the regional governor said on Telegram. The national operator Ukrenergo acknowledged in a press release that one of its infrastructures had been “damaged”.
Several regions affected
In the southern region of Kherson, a 61-year-old resident died following a Russian strike in Stanislav, the regional governor lamented. On the eastern front line, near Donetsk, the epicenter of current fighting, a Russian strike left one dead and one injured in Katerynivka, according to the local governor. The day before, Russian attacks killed one person and injured three others near Donetsk.
On the Russian side, the Belgorod region, bordering Ukraine, announced it would extend school holidays in schools and recommended universities to teach remotely, after deadly Ukrainian strikes.
