An unprecedented drama in the recent history of the country. At least eleven people, including two children, were killed on Friday August 12 in a mass shooting that broke out in Cetinge (Montenegro), located in the center of the country. The tragedy occurred following a family dispute, announced the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Andrijana Nastic. She also said the shooter was among the dead.
The shooting also injured six people, two of whom are in critical condition, Ljiljana Radulovic, director of the central hospital in the capital Podgorica, told reporters.
Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic called on his compatriots to lend their support to the families of the victims, saying the incident was unprecedented in Montenegro’s recent history. He then declared three days of national mourning.
