The Viña del Mar district devastated by flames. On the roads, dozens of cars are charred. Almost everything is reduced to ashes, some residents try to save what they can. “It’s terrible to wake up and see all this.”, explained a resident of the city. “We have nothing left and everything happened very, very quickly.”noted residents.
Around forty households still active
For several days, dozens of very violent fires have broken out in the center and south of the country. Many residents did not have time to flee, others point the finger at the authorities. “Nobody came here and said ‘run!’, nothing! And look, the authorities didn’t come to bring us water, gloves or masks.”, railed a resident. For the fourth consecutive day, 1,400 firefighters are preparing to fight against around forty still active outbreaks.
