She is Françoise, she is 92 years old and in Haÿ-les-Roses, for a month and a half, she has been living in a shared apartment with Salvatore and Marie-Pierre. Like them, she suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. “It’s her house of life, there are people who are there 24 hours a day. And so, mom, she is both physically safe in terms of health because there is surveillance, and mentally because you are reassured“, explains Sophie, his daughter.
Françoise’s family pays rent of 3500 euros per month. Caregivers take turns day and night, in addition to Omar, a Colombian student who lives in the shared apartment. “It’s rent for service. The idea is that I have to stay every night. Normally it is 6 nights a week. I accompany them a little with the auxiliaries“, concludes the student.
